Mount Saint Joseph basketball’s Pat Clatchey gets 800th win

On Monday night in Irvington, Mount St. Joe Coach Pat Clatchey, now in his 32nd year as Head Coach of the Gaels, got his 800th win of his stellar career with a 68- 36 victory over St. Mary's Ryken (St. Mary's County).

Clatchey is now 800- 257 (.757) during his brilliant career,  which is third on the all time wins-list in Maryland, behind DeMatha's Morgan Wooten, who won an astonishing 1,274 games.

The second most-winningest coach is Wicomico's  Butch Waller, now in his 58th year, with 902.

Clatchey has nine Baltimore Catholic League Tournament Championships, and nine regular season crowns.

The Gaels are seeking their third consecutive BCL Tourney title this season. Last year, the Mount was 38-4 overall.
